Riley County Community Corrections reported an increase in juvenile intakes from past months.
Fiscal year 2025 saw a total of 201 juvenile intakes. Megan Lewis, the community corrections director, said 96 of these were for juvenile offenses, and most were new arrests.
In fiscal year 2024, there was a total of 162 juvenile intakes. This is an increase of 39.
