Even though there are only three exclusively country categories at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, country artists are extraordinarily well-represented in the all-genre nominations.
Luke Bryan takes on Beyonce, among others, in two categories: Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album. He also squares off with the likes of Justin Timberlake for Top Male Artist. Luke does get some country competition for the fan-voted Milestone Award, as he and Carrie Underwood go up against Ellie Goulding, Imagine Dragons, John Legend and OneRepublic.
Taylor Swift grabs a nod for Top Social Artist, while Alan Jackson even vies for Top Christian Album, thanks to the second volume of his Precious Memories recordings. Top Duo/Group nominee Florida Georgia Line will take the stage, in addition to performances from Luke Bryan and a duet from Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert .
