Geary County Sherrif’s Deputies arrested a Council Grove man Friday morning for a drug and driving related incidents.
Deputies picked up Michael Garret in the 1300 block of West Ash Street after he lead Deputies on a pursuit that started on South K-57 Highway at mile marker 15. Garret crashed the stolen vehicle he was driving into a Junction City Patrol Unit and ran on foot before getting caught and arrested.
Garret was hit with a litany of charges including: felony fleeing and eluding, felony Interference with law enforcement, possession of stolen property and aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer. Garret was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug proceeds, no drug tax stamp, aggravated battery, reckless driving and several others.
