K-State has selected a new athletic director, according to multiple reports.

Gene Taylor, deputy director of athletics at Iowa, will succeed John Currie, who left Manhattan to take the athletic director position at the University of Tennesse on April 1.

Taylor, 59, has been at Iowa since 2014. Before that, he was the athletic director at North Dakota State for 13 years. He graduated from Arizona State in 1980.

An official announcement from KSU is expected later today.
