ABC/Image Group LA“All on Me” is not only Devin Dawson’s first top-five hit, it’s also his first gold single. Ellen DeGeneres surprised the California native with the news on Thursday when he appeared on her syndicated talk show.
Devin’s also recorded a new version of his breakthrough hit, as well as a cover of Maroon 5’s “Whiskey.” The accomplished musician laid down every instrument and vocal track himself for the latest installment of Spotify Singles.
“I wanted to do something different and get out of my comfort zone,” he says. “My goal was to make a new statement and show you guys a side of me that you’d never seen.”
