It appears that Dierks Bentley will not be trying to outwit, outlast, and outplay any time soon.
Last month, the rumor mill was buzzing that he was going to part of the cast of the next season of the long-running program featuring marooned contestants left to fend for themselves, finding food and shelter, and competing in challenges all to win the $1 million prize.
Fans soon starting putting clues together and speculating online that Dierks would taking part. He began following show host Jeff Probst and the casting directors on Instagram. There is a well-known celebrity in the cast per Probst, but it’s not Dierks. He credits his 14-year old daughter for that, saying “Dad, you’re a beast when you don’t sleep, and you would probably say something absolutely crazy and get canceled.”
Dierks says his Instagram activity was due to the fact that he’s supporting a friend of his who he thought would make a great “Survivor” contestant.
