OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLAHOMA where the coasters come sweeping the down the rails.

Kind of catchy.

A massive America-themed amusement park is slated to open just northeast of Tulsa, Okla., in 2026. The park, called American Heartland Theme Park & Resort is just off Route 66 in Vinita.

It’ll have rides scattered across the park and different areas to visit.

If this sounds suspiciously familiar, yeah, no kidding. Some of the designers used to work for Disney.

The different areas include

  1. Liberty Village – a 1950s main street area.
  2. Great Plains – Basically Kansas.
  3. Bayou Bay – Louisiana/Mississippi from the 1870s
  4. Stony Point Harbor- Coast of Maine/Massachusetts. Complete with a haunted lighthouse!
  5. Electropolis – Described as a “bright, bold vision of the American age of innovation” and a “testament to the power of American genius.”

If any of that sounds suspiciously familiar, well. Apparently, former Disney designers were involved in the development.

The total price tag for the park, which will feature a number of other amenities, like an RV park, is $2 billion. And it’s planned to be the same size as Disneyland.
