Jennifer Nettles stars as Dolly’s mother Avie Lee in the film based on the autobiographical hit from 1971. Ricky Schroder plays her dad. Coat of Many Colors is the first in a series of movies Parton is making with NBC. Jolene, based on her 1974 chart-topper, is set to be the next one.
