ABC/Image Group LAThis week, Dustin Lynch grabs the sixth #1 of his career with “Good Girl.”  But this latest chart topper is especially significant: It’s the first one he’s had a hand in writing.

“I’ve never started the year with a #1 song, and I’ve got to say, this feels really good,” he reflects. “I moved to town with the dream of writing songs and singing on stage, and finally the stars aligned, and everything worked out.”

“I’ve learned the lesson of perseverance, of hard work and continuing to hone your craft,” he adds.

The Tullahoma, Tennessee native teases it won’t be long until fans get to hear more of what he’s been working on.

“Hopefully as a songwriter, this is the start,” Dustin says. “With new music on the way, I can guarantee there will be more right around the corner.”

Next week, Dustin plays Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa getaway in the Caribbean, ahead of his first show in the United Kingdom in March.

In April, he kicks off the Canadian Leg of Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes Tour, before it morphs into the Very Hot Summer trek in May.
