
One person was killed and another seriously injured Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash in Geary County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:21 p.m. May 10th near Old Highway 40 and Kansas Falls Road, west of South Crider Road. Investigators said a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on Old Highway 40 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control, causing both occupants to be ejected from the motorcycle.
The driver, identified as 49-year-old Jeremy W. Williams of Weatherford, Oklahoma, sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Stormont Vail Health-Flint Hills Campus.
A passenger, 38-year-old Amanda W. Conrad of Junction City, suffered fatal injuries and was taken to a mortuary.
The crash report states neither occupant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
