The Junction City Fire Department reported to a structure fire at 1314 West 9th St. this morning where they found smoke coming from the eaves of the roof and fire coming from a window.

Fire crews reportedly entered the single-story house where they extinguished the visible flames and proceeded to search for occupants and potential extensions of the fire.

Total damages from the fire are estimated to cost about $65,000.

According to a JCFD release, residence of the home are being helped by the Red Cross.

JCFD classified the cause of the fire as undetermined.
