Manhattan Firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire early Thursday morning. The fire is reported in the southwest corner of Eighth and Moro with a three story apartment complex under construction.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Sam Dameron firefighters were called to the scene at 4:55 a.m., with fire on the third floor and getting into the roof. Dameron adds while they are getting the fire under control, there are a few hot spots (as of 5:40 a.m.).

There were no injuries and it’s too early to tell what the cause might be.

The intersection of 8th and Moro and the 800 block of Moro are closed to traffic at this time.
