ABC/Image Group LAAs the second day of the 2019 NFL Draft gets underway in Nashville, Dierks Bentley has plenty of reasons to be excited.

He happens to have his own honky tonk, Whiskey Row, that’s right in the middle of the action in Music City, and he’s set to do a free post-draft show on Saturday.

“It’s the best seat in the house to be onstage looking out at everybody,” Dierks admits.

“I’m sure I might venture down to Whiskey Row and kinda see what’s going on down there,” he adds. “It’s probably pretty good for all the… restaurants and bars downtown for sure.”

The Nashville location of Whiskey Row opened in early 2018.

“We had a little bit of a delay getting it open,” Dierks explains, “because we really wanted to make it right. We kept missing all these major highlights. But then I realized, this city’s just on fire. And there’s so many great things happening all the time.”

“So it was really important just to make sure it’s right…” he reflects. “And this is one of those great reasons why.”

Dierks says Whiskey Row is just one of the parts of his hometown he’s proud to share with all the visitors who are taking in the draft.

“A lot of people come from all over the country for the draft, and get to see our downtown area,” he points out. “And to have a bar down there that I kinda get to show off a little bit, it’s exciting for me, and it’s an honor to have a spot down there.”

“Certainly I’ll probably be down there checking some of it out from the second floor.”

Tonight, Tim McGraw plays a free show in downtown Nashville after the draft, before Dierks’ free concert on Saturday.
