The Kansas 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees announced Monday it is considering selling Rock Springs Ranch.
The camp and conference center, 15 miles south of Junction City, has hosted Kansas 4-H since 1946. Board leaders are considering changes to who owns and operates the site.
“This is an important process, and there are no easy answers,” board chairwoman Lisa Pfannenstiel-Garrison said. “The board continues to evaluate possible paths forward. This includes exploring potential changes in ownership or alternative ownership models that position Rock Springs Ranch for the future while strengthening the foundation’s ability to invest in Kansas youth statewide.”
