MCA NashvilleGeorge Strait may have retired from launching major tours, but he’s intent on keeping the connection with his fans strong as ever through his music.
“I have great fans,” George says. ” I run into ’em, [and they ask me,] ‘When are you gonna put a record out?’ [I say,] ‘Well, it’s coming. I’m gonna do it.’ [They also ask me,] ‘Well, you’re not retiring, though?’ ‘I’m not.'”
George finally got that new album out to his fans this week. Cold Beer Conversation features 13 brand-new songs, and George has his fingers crossed the title track picks up steam at country radio.
He adds, “I think it’s been almost a year, really, since I’ve actually really had a record on the radio that’s of any significance. So, I’m hoping that this album changes that.”
