
A Manhattan man was seriously injured early this (FRI) morning in a head-on crash in western Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Jaylen Cruse was westbound on US Highway 40 shortly before 1 a.m. when his Chevy Impala crossed the center line and collided with a semitrailer. Cruse was transported to Colby Medical Center with serious injuries. The semi driver, a 34-year-old Colorado man, was not injured.
Authorities said both drivers were alone in their vehicles and were properly restrained at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
