Raymond Wood, 25, of Wamego, Kansas was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on September 8, 2016 at approximately 2:25 PM. Wood was arrested on the offense of distribution of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs, unlawful use of a communication device for a drug sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. These offenses were listed on a warrant from Pottawatomie County, Kansas and included a bond of $10,000.00.
Police arrested Kevin O’Connor, 24, of Manhattan while in the 400 block of Fort Riley Blvd. on September 8, 2016 at approximately 7:50 PM. O’Connor was arrested on the offenses of distribution of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs, distribution of a substance in KSA 65-4105, possession of an opiate, opium, or narcotic drug, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of paraphernalia with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, and driving while license was suspended, cancelled, or revoked. He was given a bond of $15,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail.
Officers with the Riley County Police Department are investigating a report for aggravated robbery which occurred near the intersection of 16th Street and Pierre Street in Manhattan on September 8, 2016 at approximately 9:55 PM. Officers on scene were told that several shots had been fired in the direction of a 20-year-old male victim identified as Michael Fuchs of Manhattan. These shots were fired in the victim’s direction, however, did not make contact with any person (no injuries were listed as a part of this investigation). Police noted that a wallet was taken along with several financial cards (estimated loss includes the replacement cost of the wallet). Information on the interaction was limited at the time of this report as this investigation is ongoing. Police are currently looking for information on the unknown black male suspect who stands approximately 5 feet 9 inches with medium to short hair with dreads and facial hair on his chin. This male was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jean shorts as he fled the area prior to law enforcement arriving on scene. RCPD filed a report for the offense of rape in the city limits of Manhattan, Kansas on September 9, 2016 at approximately 2:00 AM. This investigation involves a female victim who is 29 years of age and a suspect who is known to her (31-years-old). Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation no further information has been released.
