ABC/Image Group LA Garth Brooks has made many memorable music videos during his career, with “The Thunder Rolls” and “The Red Strokes” being particular stand-outs. The only problem is:  it’s pretty hard to watch them these days, since the Oklahoma native has been a hold-out when it comes to putting them on YouTube.

But Garth hints that all may be changing.

“Because [fans] can’t go on YouTube and watch the video today does not mean they cannot go on YouTube and watch the video tomorrow,” he tells Billboard. “[Utilizing] the new technologies without sacrificing the old-school beliefs, those days are getting closer.”

Garth says “individual deals with different technology companies, but built solely on one thing — what works best for the music and the artist” could be the thing that changes his mind.

He even goes so far as to say he’d like to make a deal with YouTube, adding “If it happens, it’s going to happen [based on] what’s best for the song and the people who created the song. You can bet on that… as long as it benefits the people who created it, as well as it benefits the people who enjoy listening to it.”

Since Garth is now an independent artist and isn’t on a major label, the six-time CMA Entertainer of the Year closes the conversation by saying that YouTube may not be “in the biggest rush to get it done.”
