It’s been a busy 24 hours for Jana Kramer. A little more than 12 hours after she gave birth to her baby girl, she found out she’s nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards.
The “I Got the Boy” singer and her husband, former NFL tight end Michael Caussin, first laid eyes on Jolie Rae Caussin at 4:01 in the afternoon Sunday in Nashville. Their bundle of joy weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19-and-a-half inches long, according to People.
“What a whirlwind of great surprises and wonderful news,” the new mother says. “I’m overwhelmed with joy after welcoming my beautiful baby girl into the world AND finding out I’ve been nominated for an ACM Award!”
Jana competes against Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini and Kacey Musgraves for the honor. She took home the ACM Top New Vocalist trophy back in 2012.
It’s particularly special to the actress and singer that her first born arrived on January 31, since thirty one also happens to be both the title of her current album and her age.
