A Junction City man was arrested early Friday after police said he discharged a firearm and damaged property.

Nicholas Taylor Salay, 25, of Junction City, was arrested just before 3 a.m. July 10 at 200 S. Jefferson St.

According to the Junction City Police Department, Salay was arrested on charges of criminal discharge of a firearm into an unoccupied dwelling, possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and criminal damage to property.

As of Friday morning, no bond had been set and he remained confined in the Geary County Detention Center.
