A Junction City man was life flighted to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka over the weekend after being stabbed by his girlfriend, according to a Junction City Police Department press release.

Police responded to an apartment complex at 110 W. 16th St., Sunday where they found John Edward Motton, 25, with a stab wound to his chest.

An investigation determined that Kyrianna Johnson, 21, assaulted Motton while they were inside the apartment in which they live together.

Johnson was arrested for domestic aggravated battery and is being held at Geary County Detention Center without bond.

Motton is currently in stable condition.
