Kansas State University officials say they’re ready to commit to funding a portion of the massive infrastructure improvements needed as part of the University’s North Campus Corridor project along Kimball Avenue.

Total cost for infrastructure needs currently sits at $40 million dollars. The City/University Fund would pay for $10 million of the project cost, while K-State Athletics is prepared to contribute $3 million.

Even with a significant investment from the University, the City’s responsibility is still estimated at $20 million.

The City has a variety of options to help reduce its total commitment including economic development funds, STAR Bonds and federal and state grants.
