Enrollment numbers at K-State show continued growth this semester. At Friday’s State of the University address, K-State’s president Richard Linton said there are 3,813 first-time freshmen this fall, one of the highest in the university’s history.

The number of first-year students is up by 320 since fall 2024, when there were 3,493 first-year students. The official number of all K-State students has yet to be released.

“It’s not the official number yet, that doesn’t happen until the 20th day,” Linton said. “As of yesterday (Sept. 4), it was 21,228 students that are enrolled at Kansas State University. That’s the highest number since 2014.”
