On Wednesday, the Kansas Board of Regents approved a 20-year lease agreement between K-State Salina and the media company Pure Imagination Labs. Pure Imagination intends to lease space inside the new Kansas Artificial Intelligence Research and Entertainment Studio, or K-AIRES building, on the Salina campus.
The lease will begin when the building opens in September 2026 and will end in August 2046. Pure Imaginations will provide educational programs. The combined value of the percentage rent based on gross revenue and the in-kind educational services provided by Pure Imagination will be $250,000 a year.
KBOR also approved K-State’s request for a Master Lease Agreement to lease office space at 1880 Kimball Ave., a building on the Edge District owned by the KSU Foundation.
