Traffic changes are expected on Interstate 70 in Geary County as work progresses on interchange improvements at the K-18 interchange.
The Kansas Department of Transportation announced that the next phase of the $27.5 million project will begin Monday. As a result, traffic will be reduced to one lane on eastbound I-70 from exit 301 at Marshall Field to exit 303 at K-18 for about one week as crews install a safety barrier. Once complete, all lanes will reopen at a reduced speed, officials said.
