Image Courtesy Capitol NashvilleThe Fox TV show Empire has become a ratings smash, with Wednesday night’s season finale bringing in an estimated 16.5 million viewers, according to Deadline. Though the show is focused on hip-hop, country superstar Keith Urban is paying attention to Empire.
He says, “I have watched it a little bit. It’s addictive.”
Of course, Keith is a judge on American Idol, which has been airing before Empire on Wednesday nights.
He adds, “I think Idol and Empire together is a good combo.”
Keith is connected to the Empire phenomenon through his wife, Nicole Kidman, who is a friend of Empire’s creator Lee Daniels. Lee directed Nicole in the film The Paperboy, and Keith says, “We’re really, really happy for Lee as well.”
