ABC/Image Group LAKelsea Ballerini is definitely at the top of her game. Every single the newcomer has ever released has gone straight to number one. Her first single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” went to the top of the charts last June. This week, her sophomore single “Dibs” ascended the top spot as well.

With two hits that both deal with matters of the heart, the 22-year-old admits her female fans are likely to ask her for dating advice when she gets the chance to chat with them one-on-one. The men, on the other hand, are apparently more apt to to turn her latest hit into a cheesy pick-up line.

“Guys, I get a lot of like ‘Callin’ dibs on Kelsea Ballerini!’ Which is — it’s really clever and cute but I’m like, ‘You could probably be a little more original at this point.’ But I like it, I’ll take it!” she jokes.

As for whether her romantic possibilities have expanded since her career has taken off, the Knoxville, Tennessee native politely dodges the question.

“Ummmm, I don’t really pay attention to it,” she says. “I mean, I just like to make friends. That’s kinda my vibe right now.”
