On Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel followed up the CMA telecast on ABC with a country-tinged edition of his show, which was simulcast via hologram to Nashville.
The installment of Live! featured a special country music edition of “Mean Tweets,” featuring superstars like Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, and Willie Nelson.
“You ever gotten so drunk that you said a Luke Bryan song actually wasn’t that bad? Me neither,” the artist quoted, opening the segment.
“Why does Kasey Musgraves look like the house band at Chili’s?” she read with a smirk.
“Marijuana works wonders,” Willie Nelson read. “Just look at Willie Nelson. B****** is still alive and won’t die.”
The Band Perry also performed “Live Forever” from Nashville, and their performance was beamed via hologram to Kimmel’s studio in Los Angeles.
(NOTE: The segment features sporadic profanity, some of which is uncensored. A short ad may run before video begins.)
