A Leonardville man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with a case involving alleged assaults on law enforcement officers, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers originally filed a report at approximately 9:57 p.m. May 16th in Leonardville for aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer. A 54-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were listed as the victims.

Anthony John Lyons, 50, of Leonardville, was arrested at approximately 9 p.m. May 20th, 2026 at the Riley County Law Enforcement Center. Lyons was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.

Lyons was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
