ABC/Image Group LA Chris Stapleton’s cover of “I Want Love” is your first taste of music from Restoration, the country-themed album celebrating the music of Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

Elton originally recorded the Grammy-nominated song on his 2001 album, Songs from the West Coast. Now, the Kentucky-born Stapleton says Elton’s music is simply woven into the fabric of modern life.

“At any stage of life you can pick out a moment and a place in time, things that were going on and there’s an Elton John song playing somewhere in the background,” Chris observes. “He’s always going to be present in every musician’s mind and mine as well because his music reaches that far.”

Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Miranda Lambert and many more are featured on Restoration, which comes out April 6, along with the pop and rock-focused Revamp.

Stapleton’s take on “I Want Love” is available to stream or download now, along with Q-Tip and Demi Lovato’s version of Elton’s huge hit, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” from Revamp.
