ABC/Mark LevineThe guys in Old Dominion are baring their souls in the follow-up to their current #1 hit, “Make It Sweet.”

“Most people don’t change/But some people do,” lead singer Matthew Ramsey sings in the first verse of “Some People Do,” before going on to show off his falsetto in the chorus.

“Some people quit drinking too much/And some people quit lying/Some people decide to grow up/But it’s never good timing,” he continues. “Most wouldn’t forgive/What I put you through/But I’m here tonight/Hoping some people do.”

“Some People Do” is the third track OD has put out so far from their forthcoming new project. Matthew says it’s a good example of the chances the CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year take on their upcoming record.

“We pushed ourselves to be more raw and vulnerable with our songwriting on this new album,” Matthew shared on OD’s socials. “It’s a side of us we haven’t shown as blatantly on our other projects.”

“This song is very emotional and personal,” he continues, “and quite honestly, it’s a little scary to put out into the world. But in the end, part of our job as songwriters is to tell the truth, even if it’s hard to go there.”

“Some People Do” is available to stream or download now, or you can check out an audio-only version on YouTube.
