The Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan been awarded a prize package of $25,000 in technology upgrades. The package includes state-of-the-art computers, software as well as 12 months of tech support.

The award was part of a contest organized by Twin Valley, a telecommunications and IT company serving small towns and rural communities. The contest took applications from area businesses looking to improve their technological capabilities.

The three finalists were the Boys & Girls Club, TSI Trucking and Manhattan Christian College. Finalist organizations were chosen based on their organizations’ needs for a tech upgrade as well as how innovative they have been in the community. The winner was decided by a public vote that ran throughout the month of September.

“We’re really excited to see the impact this transformation will make for the Boys & Girls Club of
Manhattan,” said Twin Valley General Manager, Scott Leitzel. “They play a huge role in the lives of
young people, their families, and the future of Manhattan.”

The Boys & Girls Club will now meet with IT consultants from Twin Valley to discuss their organization’s specific technology needs and how best to implement the upgrade.

“We’ll start by laying out a roadmap that aligns with their organizational needs,” Leitzel said. “The
key to making technology work for you instead of against you is having a solid game plan.”
