Tears of joy filled Ana Mendonca’s eyes as she spoke during the Manhattan Area Resettlement Team Block Party Saturday.
“When I took this job (as executive director), I said, ‘I want to help people,’” Mendonca said. “What I see is that people are helping each other, and it’s making this world much better.”
