Dick Clark ProductionsCountry music will be well-represented at Sunday’s American Music Awards, with both Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt competing in the major all-genre categories.
Sam has the most nominations of any country artist — up for three trophies, including New Artist against rapper Fetty Wap, Swedish singer Tove Lo, rockers WALK THE MOON and Canadian singer The Weeknd.
Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan each have two nods, with Luke competing against the likes of One Direction, Maroon 5 and overall top nominee Taylor Swift, who has six total, for Artist of the Year. Luke will sing his new duet “Home Alone Tonight” with Karen Fairchild as well, who’ll also hand out a trophy with her band, Favorite Group contender Little Big Town.
Potential Favorite Female winner Carrie Underwood will perform too, while her competitor Kelsea Ballerini will present. The boys from Florida Georgia Line will test their skills at teleprompter-reading as well.
The 2015 American Music Awards air live from Los Angeles Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
