Sara Kauss Photography Maddie & Tae had a very special evening planned for one young fan at Wednesday night’s CMA Awards. The singers invited five-year-old cancer patient Caroline Lantz and her family to attend Country Music’s Biggest Night.

In partnership with Aflac, the country duo surprised Caroline, who is a pediatric cancer patient at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, and took her to the awards show. Caroline and her family were surprised with VIP tickets, a day filled with glam, and a red-carpet experience leading up to the 52nd annual CMA Awards in Nashville.

“We loved getting to team up with Aflac to surprise Caroline and her family with tickets to join us at the CMAs this year,” Maddie & Tae said in a statement. “In the midst of something as difficult as childhood cancer, we wanted to help give Caroline and her family an unforgettable experience. It was really special for us too.”
