ABC/Image Group LACarly Pearce and Michael Ray tied the knot Sunday in front of about one hundred friends and family members, according to People

The ceremony took place at Drakewood Farm about fifteen miles north of downtown Nashville. Though they’d planned an outdoor wedding, all-day rain drove the wedding inside one of the venue’s barns. Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody officiated, as Carly and Michael recited vows they’d written themselves.

“Knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I didn’t settle for something less than truly the person that I think was made for me is something that I am thankful for,” Carly tells People.

“No matter what, I have her in my corner,” Michael says. “No matter what, she has me in her corner. I tell her, you’re never going to face anything alone. Never will there be anything in life that you don’t look over and I’m standing beside you.”

Carly wore a Samantha Sleeper dress with a high neckline, long sleeves, and a short pencil skirt covered by full-length sheer lace. The Kentucky native describes the day as “earthy and whimsical and romantic” with “elements of country.” She and her mother planned it themselves.

Though it was a two-star wedding, Lindsay Ell was the only name in the audience, save for Jake Owen, who sang “Made for You” for Carly and Michael’s first dance.

The after-party moved to The Nashville Palace, the honky tonky near the Opry where the two had their first date in June of 2018. Michael popped the question last December.

For now, a honeymoon will have to wait, because it’s back to work for the newlyweds. They’ll head to Sandals Resort in Jamaica at the end of the year to celebrate.
