Matthew Dunaey Klingforth was sentenced Monday in Riley County District Court to register as a sex offender and pay designated fees related to his December trial.

Klingforth, 18, was convicted Dec. 19 of sexual battery, but a jury found him not guilty of rape and aggravated sexual battery.

Judge John Bosch sentenced Klingforth to the 132 days he’d already served and registration as a sex offender for 25 years. Klingforth is also required to pay $158 in court costs, $600 to the Kansas Bureau of Investigations for DNA and lab fees and $100 for reimbursement to the public defender’s office.
