Salman Shinwari, 17, was receiving treatment at Children’s Mercy hospital in Kansas City for injuries from the accident when he died Wednesday morning.
On the afternoon of May 7, Shinwari was driving on US highway 77 in Geary County when his car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
He was taken to Stormont Vail hospital in Junction City and later transported to Children’s Mercy.
