A Manhattan man’s offender registration violation sentencing was postponed, to give a Riley County District Court judge time to catch up on the case.

Travis Layne, 36, was convicted in a bench trial May 2 of one count of aggravated offender registration act violation and one count of offender registration act violation.

He appeared Monday for the first time before Judge John Bosch for sentencing, after Judge Kendra Lewison excused herself from the case following a federal lawsuit Layne filed against her.
