ABC/Mark LevineMaren Morris has had a whirlwind month. Between getting married to Ryan Hurd, honeymooning in Bora Bora, celebrating her 28th birthday and performing at Sunday’s ACM Awards, the singer’s calendar has been packed, but she’s having a blast.

“I think this is the most fun month of my life,” she tells People Magazine.

The “Rich” singer is enjoying life as a newlywed, but admits that she doesn’t have much down time before she hits the road for tour next month.

“We went on a two-week honeymoon. I kind of felt like I got to be a newlywed in that sense,” she says.

Commenting on she and Ryan being husband and wife, she notes, “Honestly, it’s still sinking in, but even the night of our wedding, we realized that it’s not that different.”

She adds, “I think the weight of it hits you when we said our vows to each other in front of our friends and family. It’s like, ‘I’m promising forever to someone in front of all of our loved ones,’ so that’s a huge deal, but as far as our relationship, it doesn’t feel different. We’ll always be best friends.”

In between some downtime with her new husband, Maren is also in the studio working on her sophomore album. Her new single, “Rich,” is the final song she’ll release from her major label debut, Hero.
