ABC/Randy HolmesIf you catch Luke Combs on his Don’t Tempt Me with a Good Time Tour this spring, there’s a good chance you might get to meet his mom.

“Oh, mom always loves the show, man,” the North Carolina native laughs. “I think mom’s more famous than me, honestly, at the gigs, man. She’s out dancing up and down the aisles and stuff… She’s awesome. My parents have always been super-supportive.”

In February, Luke’s mom and dad made the trip to Nashville, to see their son headline two nights at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

“They try to come to as many shows as they can,” Luke explains. “You know, both working full-time, it’s difficult for them to just take off and come.”

“But, obviously the Ryman was special, so they came to both nights, drove in from Asheville, and stayed with me at my apartment in the guest room. So I was thrilled to have ’em there.”

Luke’s dad will likely soon be showing up at more shows, as he’s retiring. Luke’s latest single, “One Number Away,” just broke into the top 15 this week.
