City officials said crews are working around the clock to clear storm damage following Monday night’s severe storm that knocked out power to tens of thousands of customers.

During Tuesday’s city commission meeting, public works director Brian Johnson said staff are coordinating closely with Evergy while reopening streets, sidewalks and public rights-of-way.

“If you do have a street that is closed, please let us know, so we can get it on our list,” he said.

Johnson said the city aims to have all debris cleared from roads by the end of Wednesday, or possibly Thursday.
