ABC/Image Group LA This weekend, the Nashville community returns to Las Vegas for the largest country music event since the tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in October. While the Academy of Country Music Awards will honor the biggest names in the genre, the victims of the largest mass shooting in modern American history certainly won’t be forgotten.

On Friday, Michael Ray will help Musicians on Call launch a new ongoing Beside Performance Program at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where many of the Route 91 victims were treated. It’s a return visit for the “Get to You” singer, who first came by shortly after the tragedy.

The new initiative was started by ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, who gave $150,000 to make it possible. Since 1999, Musicians on Call has worked to lift the spirits of patients and their families by bringing music to their bedsides.
