HandsOn Kansas State and the Harvesters Community Food Network of Topeka are partnering up to host a Mobile Food Distribution this Friday.
The event will take place in parking lot C-1 of the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex beginning at 4 p.m. and will last until supplies run out.
All K-State and community members are welcome to take part in the event and will have non-perishable items and fresh fruits and vegetables available to them for free.
Event volunteers will be adhering to physical-distancing guidelines.
Those who are using a vehicle to transport food from the distribution are being asked to open their trunks so event volunteers can load the items themselves.
Anyone wanting to participate can walk to the event but won’t have transportation available to them following the event due to physical-distancing guidelines.
