Burke/Triolo Productions/Thinkstock Maddie & Tae are the CMA Foundation’s newest Artist Ambassadors. As part of their role, the duo will virtually visit a music class and participate in a discussion with female teachers about overcoming challenges and empowering young women to be leaders.

“Once a Day,” Connie Smith‘s 1964 debut hit, which was written by Bill Anderson, has been inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.

Meanwhile, Connie Smith’s husband, Country Music Hall of Fame member Marty Stuart, is releasing a new digital album. Songs I Sing in the Dark is a collection of 20 acoustic songs and each month, Marty will share a song from the album alongside a description of its significance. The first release is a cover of Crystal Gayle‘s “Ready For the Times to Get Better.”
