One person was killed Thursday evening when fire broke out at a Wabaunsee County winery.
Wabaunsee County Sheriff Rob Hoskins has confirmed the death. Fire tore through the Wyldewood Cellars Winery outside Paxico just after 6:30 p.m. At least seven different fire crews including crews from Wamego and Wabaunsee responded. The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
The victim’s name has not been released. Further details are pending.
