The Library of Congress will celebrate Willie Nelson’s Gershwin Prize for Popular Song with a tribute concert Wednesday, November 18 at Washington’s DAR Constitution Hall.
The musically diverse line-up includes Rosanne Cash, Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson and the Mavericks’ Raul Malo, as well as legends like Paul Simon and Neil Young. Simon was actually the first person presented the honor, with Willie becoming the eighth to join the esteemed ranks.
Even though he recently postponed dates on his Django and Jimmie Tour with Merle Haggard because of an unnamed health concern, Willie is set to be on hand as well. The show will air nationwide on PBS on Friday, January 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
