With the likely approval of the Pfizer version of the coronavirus vaccine expected by the CDC this morning (WED), local pediatricians are trying to ease concerns parents may have over the potential of long-term effects.

Dr. Mark Duff with Pediatric Associates says what people view as quickness in the development of the vaccines was actually tremendous efficiency.

As for youngsters who have coronavirus antibodies in their systems, Duff still suggests they get vaccinated.

The Riley County Health Department is scheduling a May 20th event to give doses to those between the ages of 12 and 15 and should receive a shipment of doses before the week is out.
