A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday. Joseph Brand, 23, of Manhattan was arrested on the offenses of possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs and interference with law enforcement which gave him a bond of $5,000.00. This arrest stemmed from a warrant issued in Riley County, Kansas.
A report for theft of property was filed yesterday in the 100 block of Barton Road in Leonardville, Kansas. Listed as a victim was Farm Bureau in Manhattan and Stacy Wurtz, 31, of Riley, Kansas. Items removed from the area were listed as personal checks, a Samsung tablet, an HP computer, and a black computer bag totaling approximately $1,495.00.
