MANHATTAN — Riley County Police were busy Tuesday with an investigation in the Stagg Hill area of Manhattan.

According to Wednesday morning’s RCPD arrest report, 39-year-old Shawn Lance Henderson of Manhattan was arrested shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday for a charge of attempted 2nd degree murder. Henderson was arrested at 704 Ridgewood Circle in the Crestwood Apartment complex. Bond has been set at $250,000. The investigation is ongoing and police have not released any further details at this time.

Separately on Tuesday, 35-year-old Thomas Pacelli, a homeless resident, was arrested on a charge of aggravated intimidation of a witness. He was arrested around 5 p.m. in the 100 block of Ft. Riley Blvd. Bond is set at $20,000.

Both men remain jailed.
